Background information
On September 12th and 13th we will have a Curly weekend including our first Championship show.
We had our World Curly meeting in summer 2002 also with a Championship show but we were not a club yet at that time.
Activities?
On saturnday we will start our curly weekend with coffee and tea. After that there will be a grooming workshop where you will get information on how to keep a good coat.
If you like, you can trim your own dog under instructions of experienced people. For peope new in the "showbizz" we will give tips and tricks on how to show your Curly.
At about noon we'll have our traditional American lunch (everyone brings something for the lunch).
After lunch we'll have our Championship show, Annemieke van Luijk-Grevelink, one of the first judges in The Netherlands with a license to judge Curlies will give her opinion on your Curly.
She herself is a Curly owner for about 10 years now and has judged Curlies all over Europe.
In the evening we'll have an informal get together and have time to meet and talk. We will arrange a barbecue. On the entry form for the show you can let us know that you will be joining the barbecue.
There will also be a lottery to sponsor the Club. If you have somthing for this lottery please let us know.
On Sunday there will be several activities, hunting, walking the dog, doggames... Your ideas for this day are very welcome.
The location
We found a lovely location on the camping "d’Olde Kamp" in Ansen (province of Drenthe). It is located in the North-East of our country not far from Germany so we hope to see some Germans too.
You can make a reservation for this camping (for tent, caravan or cabin) on the site of the camping (www.plaggenhut.nl). Please mention that you're coming for the Curly weekend.
Rules for the Championship show
- Make sure that your payment is done before August 15th 2009
- The dog must be 4 months or older at the time of the Clubmatch
- Only dogs that have a pedigree that is acknowleded in the Netherlands can be entered
- Curlies that live in the Netherlands have to be registered in the NHSB
- Males must have 2 normal testickles
- Entering working or Champions class is only possible if documents stating so are send with this form (by mail or e-mail)
- Participating in the Brace class is only possible for dogs that are entered in one of the other classes
- Participating in the brace class is only possible when both dog and bitch are from the same owner
- You will get a free catalog for the first dog entered
